A Total Eclipse of the Sun

by Karl Waldbauer

A Total Eclipse of the Sun

Some people see a meteor shower,
others view the dawn.
Giant redwoods awe those they shade
and lift them to the sky.
These natural wonders,
these acts of God
are glorious to behold.
Yet, when we’re together close and warm
to me you eclipse the sun.

The interactions that we have with each other so often dwarfs what is around us... and ironically it is what is around us that actually makes us feel so small that we need eack others company. Great work.

Hi Karl, Great write. I love Gaint Redwood trees, only seen them in pictures. Not in real life. Maybe someday I will.

Man, I wish I had this one back in my single days. What a great pick up line and a semblance of Pink Floyd too! It just don't get no better than this! Sail on, sail on, sailor!
