serenity

by Rachelle Howe

thighs, so soft, open, inviting. i
press my palms to the feel
of your nit beneath my fingernails.
and i have, dwelled in your womb tonight,
dwelled, and spent. you're panting,
laying there as i dig my tongue
deeper, deeper. and i flick,
flick and swell, your innermost secrets kept:

your taste harbored in my nose like a fugitive.

you build the rhythm well with your choice of sounds...so softly sibilant in the beginning, and peaking with deep, digging, flicking....then the last line a sigh of smoke.
