Cardboard boxes and Children by Aaron HowardWhen I was little there was nothing that could amuse me more than a new cardboard box..Depending on the size of my new found prize Itd make a sturdy fort, a hideaway, a tunnel or stair-sled, and since we lived in a two story house.. I would have more fun filling the box with pillows, sitting Indian style and roll down the carpeted stairs head over heels. Flying, rolling and sliding down the carpeted stairs like a crazed stuntman.. I never hurt myself or anything and before I would start my Evil Kanevil plans Id move all the furniture from the landing spot and then proceed to roll down the stairs.. and since we hand a full two way flight of stairs, Id have to slide down, turn and then roll down the rest
the box would only last a little while and if Id been caught by the folks, theyd end it pretty quick because of the noise factor.
Cardboard boxes turned out a great place for me to get girls alone and away from prying eyes.. even as a little kid I had a curiosity for girls.. not the icky poo.. but more of a fascination with what they were.. and I would try almost any chance to play a basic version of doctor.. my father had caught a girl with me in a large refrigerator box I had found and from that point on.. No boxes. Which is a good thing.
