drunk off your amber eyes. by Wendy Geali should know my death by now
yet i go, kissing the shocking black plague of you.
i keep the moment stashed in the backside of my head
of when our lips and limbs were intertwined and
the yellow stars held nothing to the locks of your hair
that went falling against your skin- sky
a waste i am, drunkening myself up on your amber eyes
that crash like two spheres across their white backdrops
press your lips against mine and strip the colors
of their coax- hue, tricking ivory and brown with bewitching stare
thick with seduction-words knocking up every pore
08/20/2004 Author's Note: its hard to love again. & when you do, it all feels like a trick
