shining on by Mary Ellen Smith
the sun by day warming and bright.
the moon aglow graces the night.
the stars above a guiding light,
shining on,
a lighted world with neon gas.
electricity that's wrapped in glass.
a simple candle that we pass,
shining on.
in darkness we're not alone.
God's love, a light unto its own.
the greatest illumination known,
shining on.
you may find it in a stranger's face.
perhaps some unexpected place.
this light of love, amazing grace,
shining on.
first look for it within your heart.
for that is where the light will start.
a light that tears the dark apart,
shining on,
shining on.

Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 08/11/04 at 01:46 PM Fascinatingly shaped message of "light" natural, man made and the Light of lights presented with great grace and hope! |
Posted by Laura Doom on 08/11/04 at 10:36 PM I can't comment on the 'message' here - it's not within my experience, but I can say that the form and presentation made this visually pleasing |
