I've stayed up until five again,
contemplating no boundaries
and when they won't have a say
anyway.

Nights like these could last forever
without time
to slap its hand
and wriggle an annoyed finger at it,
grab it by the wrist and drag it home
without any supper.
nothing worse than to be left hungry
