Intensity { this is what you do to me}

by Kimberly Bare

the radiance

the tidal wave
incited by you
filters through me
with a stirring slowness

a look, a touch,
the dance of hours that holds my heart

anticipating the moment
while never knowing just when
it will come

you
delight me with your sponteneity
exite me with your creativity

the pull and
the caress deepen

and when our eyes are half-lidded
with desire
and our bodies are ripe
for the ride

you slide inside

with your eyes locked to mine

when the climb is almost to the top
and i feel my heart could stop
and i'd still be smiling
you pull my mouth to yours and flood me with a rush
of feeling

the tenderness and lust combine
the love in me is all-consuming as we pulse
in our common rhythm
till crescendo crashes

to crest, to carry, to calm

and hours later, i'm still smiling

Eight years later I hope it still feels the same! I know how lovely it can be.
