A gaping soul
I see the scream in your eyes

I feel the fear when I’m near you
Locked away
But rattling the cage
Shaking you…

Am I the only one?
Can no one else see it?

For a hand to stop you from falling

The word echoes in my head…
‘Lost…lost…lost…’
Like the battle cry of a defeated army
In a war that still rages, regardless…

I want to reach out to you…
Take your hand…
But I’m afraid you’ll push me away

One day you will know
There is nothing for you to fear
Find your way again…
Never bite the hand that saves you.
