The Brook (Rictameter)

by Paganini Jones

the brook
springs from the hills
high over wild moorland
where the curlew and skylark sing
invisibly high in blue springtime sky,
washed clean and new by gentle rain
that falls back to the spring
splashing down to
the brook

I like this one! I especially like that you added the word "wild" to moorland, as if by passing through something wild, the otherwise "mild" brook absorbed a new characteristic.

it sings with the sounds and sights. Thanks for this.
