A Moth By Any Other Name by Christopher ShinWhen was it that the world
became more darker then the
shades that cover my souless
black eyes?
When was it that superficial
negativity filled a group of
people, rejected for wearing
their darkness on their sleeve?
All I know is that even I
am just an outcast amongst
society's normality that seems
to find now place amongst
the sad and weary.
When was it the the gilded
butterflies snubbed me in
their own macabre dance?
All I can understand is
that there is very few
room for a moth in this
world.

Posted by Emily G Myers on 07/26/04 at 10:23 PM good concept. well written, except the "few" in the last verse threw me off. maybe "little" or "scarce" instead? anyway, I really liked this. :) good job, Chris. |
