Standing Still by Oliver DrewmanUpon the apex of a bridge
There was a time
When all of nature
Stopped for me.
The setting sun
Majestically displayed
All the colors hidden
During the day.
Luna hung
Seeming motionless
The curved out
Brightest glow.
Mercury accompanied
This beautiful sight
In this clearest
Not yet night
A silent empty moment
Pervading stillness prevailed
What the mind had seen
Began to glow
When all of nature
Stopped for me
Putting on her finery
In clearness-frozen
Etched forever upon inner sight
Then my mind became as snow 07/21/2004 Author's Note: Lots of ideas in a 10 min write
