i will love you more

by Wendy Geal

i will love you more than my heart,
which chafes against my ribs in its sweet agony.
it will melt- smooth into my blood and flow through me,
breeding little crimon cells and throughout
the core of me, feeding upon and tasting your eyes.
they are part of me now.
i know the way they'd feel dancing inside of me in their perfect rythym.
i will love you more than my own mad head
echoing, passion- ravenous and calling you out: you are engraved, this
sweet illusion is a snapshot of my calling.
i shall carry myself there to that place where you and i will breathe and never starve
for happiness. (and i will love you more than these words
that i have plastered thick on white pasty paper- worthless). love me,
and i will burn every rusted syllable to ash, thick with their lack of connotations .
