I love you too.

by Beth K Hannah

Radiant as the morning sun,
As the stars emerging from their protective sky,
Your hands on my skin
Give me all the beauty I have ever craved.

The spinning of my heart and the crashing of my lungs
Are the only sounds pounding in my ears.
Those three over used words still make me melt,
Maybe because someone finally means them.

You never seem to want to give it up,
Turn me in for a saner model.
I try to convince you I will destroy you
That I will break you heart,
No matter what,
You keep coming back for more,
Pushing my lack of self-confidence to the floor.

I know I am not pretty,
I could never stop anyone cold
Or turn a head.
You keep telling me otherwise,
And I might believe you,
If only mirrors didn’t exist.

I know my conflicting halves ruin everything
That I never make sense,
That you love my eyes and my skin.
You kiss me as you call me a dork,
Making me wonder if maybe
Being beautiful isn’t as great as I
Originally thought.
Come tonight, I might start believing you
When you tell me I’m more than enough.

Author's Note: I refuse to tell anyone what song inspired me to write this. Tyler also inspired this, duh.

*hugs you* You are such a softy Bethy. I like this one for it's lightness and sparkly quality:)
