cocunut rum by Ginette T Bellei love
empty days
filled with banal overtones
a whole weekend filled
is a red-letter treat
and i spend days
without a paddle in hand
it's tricky - yes
but i think i've gotten the hang of it
this warm evening is the smell of pablum
on a dingy silver spoon
my father's voice swirling with the mosquitos
and cocunut rum in plastic cup
it's a long shot (i tell you)
but it ain't far from the truth..
07/04/2004 Author's Note: just my wierd, floating above sea ramblings...i don't expect you to understand because i hardly understand anything myself
