Celare

by Scott Cadence

I close your box
before I can even begin
or try

so many goodbyes
before patience permits hello

And
What could I say now?
What shade of grey do you prefer?
You've seen me
In every way
I could be seen
or imagined

so you leave as you came
endangered
complex
needing
giving
a solar breeze

Together
we play in harmony
apart
we imitate eachother
And we both know
what happens
when pianos
try to be guitars,
When red becomes blue
and grey has taken over
all our colours

Author's Note: found this in my documents - an oldie for sure but I think it still holds up.
