Suicide

by Jayme L Helmick

Why should I care
if you want to go
You push me away
to draw me in
Why do I love you
when you can't seem to care
Why do I try?
You are a

Death touches my skin
with scratches of peace
Death touches my heart
like a watery ice painting
I would die for you
while you die to me
Locking me away
in a prison of deafeat
I long to touch you
kiss you
love you
But you take you away
And I'm left with nothing
My heart is cold and
SIX
FEET
DEEP
and I will never love again.

"Death touches my skin with scratches of peace Death touches my heart like a watery ice painting" I like that a lot. A good portrait of pain mixing with torture and numbness and peace.
