the beast within

maim and shred
anger, the creature caged
within living flesh
the crush of grinding teeth
demonic clarity spawned
in subzero rage
corrosive sarcastic acid
etching shattered glass thoughts
fallen guardians of reason
rise again to grapple mindless fury
two broken selves split asunder
on control's razor edge
bound to the unceasing war
for mastery over one facade
