Lost in Time

by James Zealy

The Wind and Rain
Dancing in the moonlight
Sprays like angel dust
At the days ebbing gray
Turning Darker
Against a sandy beach
White as porcelain

The old cottage stands tall
An oddity amid tall concrete towers
Fresh and homey
Yet lost in time
Reminiscent of a slower gentler era
When the sand and sun
Was all there was

Now crowded
Dwarfed by its surroundings
It stands out like a beacon
Flashing images of days gone bye

Author's Note: One of my favorite places is the beach. The place is Sea Captain's House at Myrtle Beach. It was originally an ocean front cottage that was converted to a restaurant.

This is a wonderfilled glimpse, capturing forever, the beauty held in the eye of bewildering time. Nostalgia at its best, James...pe4ce
