Encumbrance by Paganini JonesThat waspish one, Encumbrance,
I dislike her way!
She took my loved one's heart,
And kneaded it as clay,
She would have baked it in her oven -
I prevented her.
And though his heart still holds her print,
So he rejected her.
And though her words may echo still,
She holds no sway.
That waspish one, Encumbrance,
No! I like her not! 06/22/2004 Author's Note: Written in response to a couple of lines in THIS POEM by Alison Middleton

Posted by Alison McKenzie on 06/22/04 at 06:53 PM Paganini!!! I LOVE IT!!! *laughing* You captured Encumbrance's spirit and brought her to life, made her more touchable. *bowing in humble deference* A fitting compliment to your assistance!!! |
