Lost at Sea by Amy NiggelThe best analogy I have
came from a tounge who's route was not in English,
maybe that's what it took to understand you.
She told me you were like a storm on the ocean
wild and exciting
exotic and beautiful
unpredictable and dangerous.
I refused to admit
how right I knew she was.
I tried to wait it out,
to stay in your eye
and free from harm.
You left in a fury,
destruction in your wake,
and I found myself lost at sea.
My stormy love affair
left me wet
and cold
and aching
but it left me knowing I could weather the storms. 06/20/2004 Author's Note: Thanks Ruta for the inspiration, thanks Andrew for being you.
