Mugged

by Anne Engelen

She is a lover

With an exquisite taste

Her likes are pure and authentic

He, a freebee

Came with 2 x 250 g Arabica

His form and looks show quite a bit of artistery

He has seen her ritual several times a day

Waiting in anticipation to become the chosen

She likes it hot

He doesn’t mind to get burnt

One touch of her lips would be his ticket to heaven

As the water starts to boil

She picks up the French Roast

Will this be his lucky day?

The penetrating odour of French Roast

Beddazzles his senses

All he wants to be is her cup of tea

But then she picks her favourite mug

To him the ugliest thing he has ever seen

Straight white body

A tattoo saying

“The Old Stone Inn”

Niagara Falls , Canada

She closes her eyes

He sees them French kissing

And feels mugged

Once again

Maybe tomorrow will be his lucky day!
