Alone in Your Mind

by Thomas K. Hunt

Who will listen to me?
Will I peak the slightest interest?
Is my word worth a thought?
What will draw you in?
Are you somewhere in a line?
Are you hidden in a meaning?
Is your past written down or is it just a dream you're dreaming?
I am just like you, alone in your mind
A constant flow of past to present time
Though we are distant out of view from sight
We walk the same path each and every night
Unison in motion traveling one way
Destined to a common place some day
The path is plenty with room for all
Still, along the way some slip and fall
Always look up for an out stretched hand
That should be everyone's plan
Share the gift that was given at birth
Share all your love here on earth
