Calm AND Collected

by Charles J Hannan

Calm is a man who's beast is tamed
Caged in a field of poppies
Warm and translucent and washed clean
Taking new shape as clouds always do

Sweet to taste on the lips of reality
Aroma filled senses linger
Taken to places with endless dreams
Of love and happiness

Collected is a man who's temper is gone
Restrained in a beautiful nature
Contempt to sleep away the pain
And live life in the full again

Feeling brilliant and eager to evoke
Endless skies of fountain blue
A twirling time to have up there
I think I'll stay awhile
