I Don't want to go to hell

by Aaron Howard

Shimmering dream avoiding minds eye
Floating up deep within the purple sky..
Drifting tomorrow to today’s design
Upon the future dreams, you must resign..
Angels in disguise cruise the beat
And keep a move on and be light on your feet.
Shimmering dream.. come to grace
When you drift off and lose the smile from your face..
Tunnels and ladders, deep trama matters, lost innocence
And loss of everything this world represents..
Glistening dream of the afterlife.. prove me right
For I don’t want to go to hell tonight…

Author's Note: I tried to think up a good poem to converse with the angels as I bled in the gutter.
