wheels turning
tires spinning
round and round.

careless movements,
charged with gas--
pump the accelerator.

speeding down
the midnight highway
at 90 mph,

screaming, singing
out loud to the radio,
laughing like there's no tomorrow.

turn the wheels
spin the tires
round and round.

one wrong turn
up the sidewalk
jolt--crash--

listening to the
snow on the radio




...silence.
