Let's Be Honest by Aaron BlairThe proper words to say are
"I'll never let go," a lie lending itself
neatly to the thing we call romance.
Who can hold on forever? I know
my hands are not that strong, and
yours, they make good fists,
but are less than perfect tools
for anything but breaking.
So, let's be honest. As soon
as I turn that corner and disappear
from your view, you'll forget why
you ever loved me. You'll let go
so fast it'll make you dizzy, and
when the world is back in focus,
you'll fall all over again, that
very first person you see. 06/06/2004 Author's Note: Well, yeah, you know...
