"thirty pieces of silver"

by Rachelle Howe

your boat rocks with each tryst
and he is
absorbed into your greening gills.
and i am
watching from the window
but you'd never know
i was

waiting for you to realize
your convictions.
i never thought a whore
could be a saint.
you proved me right again but

i was the one
you jumped through
fire hoops with

the one you
sold to egypt
for a clear conscience
and an orgasm.

Author's Note: eh. i have no clue what to title this POS. but! it's been like, centuries since i posted so here's my way of groping through the fog. oh, and i tagged this piece 'cause of the word orgasm. didn't know if i could get dinged for that.

Heartbreaking, although it feels like it should keep going. (Well, not really "keep going," as it ends on a perfect note, but it also seems over far too soon) I wouldn't worry so much about the word, "orgasm" but it's better to be safe. :)

So great to see you back! :D

POS? never. ha rachelle, you brilliant girl you. you never cease to stun me with your cutting and your biting. your imagery is captivating and your flow and form are superb. i've been distant from pathetic for a spell, but now that i'm back, i can't wait to start diving into your work again you insanely talented girl.
