        in the middle of a Ruddy May
a red reaction on your skin

cheeks        &       lips        &       nipples

red in the color of blood
racing through every organ,
overtly,
        flowing,
red, luscious and lush
the color of lust
and love
and heat
and red-hot passion
in me
in you.

perfect day
        at the end of our Red May
burned a red reminder on my chest

kisses       &        snickers        &       hugs

red in the color of shorts
standing, sexy in my hallway,
slyly,
        grinning,
warm, red and rare
the color of skin
and hair
and eyes
and heartbeats
glowing
in candlelight.
