Kaleidoscope Eyes: The day I learned to See

by Madeline Pestolesi

Taken on a trip of realization,
The power of control
Is in my hands
And life is what I make it.

Stifled for so long under misconceptions
Now broken
And an understanding
Changing my reaction to life.

The patterns on the ceiling
Contain a repetition I never noticed
Before I learned how to open my eyes.

It's not what we see but how.
And the answer lies in controlling your perception.
