My womb anticipiates explosion,
building up pressure
until it geysers out
lipstick-red drops of death,
of life turned sewage.

And should I weep?
Should I mourn the loss?
Should I repent for the passing of
the unborn, unmade liquid half-child?

Hardly.

I'll repent when I commit a real sin -
reproduction.
