The Night by Charles M HarrisonInky blackness of the night
Thousands of stars fade from sight.
Lightning flashes across a dark sky,
A shooting star catches the eye.
Unseen sounds in the night
Quicken hearts and bring fright.
Constellations in the sky
Infinite wonders bring a sigh.
Cool breeze upon your face
A wish for a warm embrace.
Black waters shimmering with white light
Many are the mysteries of the night. 01/05/1988 Posted on 05/22/2004 Copyright © 2024 Charles M Harrison
