Mutually Created

by Max Bouillet

The more my soul
drips from my fingers
and drowns pristine paper
with ink and lies my
heart knows to be true...

i am humbled
by the enormity
of a point of
dirt and water
adrift in the night
that sings dreams
and shouts nightmares
into the face of a God
that we created
to create us.

mutually created, indeed... when one steps outside and peeks within this tiny existence, one can reflect on every speck of sand... the trick is knowing that every speck of sand comes from every other speck of sand... i hope this is a clue we will hear more from the mind that convinced me to reside in this beautiful place... your writing is talent soaring on the wings of a star... blessings...

Point of dirt and water. Incredible. That line alone will play in my mind a long time. Welcome back, you jumped in the deep end swimming without missing a single stroke.

Yes, if I lose my faith he loses his existence.

Paradoxical poetry, Max. Ashes and dust, eggs and chicks, your creation a concundrum of magnatudinous proportion. Pe4ce...

"a God/ that we created/ to create us." - possibly the most strikingly true line I've read in a LONG TIME. The philosophy and lyricism in this poem merge quite nicely into a piece that belongs on my favorites list. Well-done.
