Soul Keep Walking

by Alison McKenzie

Don'’t turn around
Keep your head down
Look
Those are your feet
Landing on solid ground
Over and over they find sure footing
You are not faltering
Remember your strength,
Remember now.
The road you’'re on is an even keel
Your shoes don’t hurt anymore.
Do you feel the relief
Of walking a mile in your own shoes
And loving it?
Don'’t let the sun blind you.
Don’'t look back.
Keep going.
You can do this.
I know you hear the call
The plea
From the mist in the past
Don'’t listen.
Don'’t respond.
Don’'t hit the send button.
Don'’t even start.
Keep looking forward.
Keep your heart safe.
Don’'t turn around.
Don'’t look bac.k
Just keep walking,
Soul keep walking.
