I opened myself
to you
I let the dam break
against your palm
I laid down at your feet
submissive
and vulnerable
my throat
ready at your finger tips
But you didn't move
you hardly
blinked an eye
I gave to you
what I had carried
in my heart for so long
And you failed to realize
its significance
So tell me, dear sir
where do I go from here
now with my heart so
heavy in my hands

This is one of those, I came, I saw, I conquered poems with a few issues still unresolved. It certainly has a good feel to it and I love the last line, yet it seems to be begging for closure or perhaps a sequel to draw it all together. Pe4ce...
