::luminary::

by Bethany Lee

Shooting Stars amaze me so,
I want to hold on to their tails
and never let go...

but this lovely luminary,
who has lent me her listening ear,
whom together we laughed
about the lacerations of life,
is a beauty-filled, lambent light
that will not dim across the Journey.

your shooting stardust
that glistens on my cheeks
from our embraces,
will remain a sparkle in my darker hours.

you are an infinite blessing,
and i count the days 'til
our next meeting...

love and light to you, my cherished friend.

Our Souls know no distance...

Author's Note: My dearest friend is moving 'cross country. She will be missed, but this is not the End...

I've already said this to another member in a comment once today, but I'll say it again to you. I like any poem thats seemingly related to the atmosphere. (and though this poem seems to [metaphorically] be more about your friend than the sky, I still really love the words you used.) long distance relationships are hard, but love knows no distance. keep in touch with her, you'll meet again someday;)
