Into the earth by Betania TeschI am pushing you into the earth
as mud squeezes up around
your pallid skin
and sweat mingles with
rainwater gathering
around the outline
of you
and between our bellies
making gentle splashes.
I am pushing you into the earth
with bamboo shoots of hair
gathering around my face
baptising you
as my hard angled knees jab
into your soft pink sides
and the plane of my back
shelters you from the storm above
only to engulf you
in the raging tides of
this long-brewing passion
meeting the front of your skin
and swallowing you in the waves.
I am pushing you into the earth
and from the earth
you will push into me. 05/05/2004 Author's Note: gender-f*cking poetic license yes please...OR

Posted by Sarah Graves on 05/07/04 at 12:15 AM There seems to be so much comfort in this peice. As if I should be breathing in and out when I read this. Very effective. This is my first time in your library, so I hope you don't mind if I look around a bit. :) |
