Winter has set in
freezing feelings into deepest sleep
suspending what you once were fully sure of.

The fog inside the glass around these summer hearts
is starting to grow thick and yet opaque.
Winter has set
but seasons change.

While the hope begins to diminish in the cold
one flame will cancel out the darkness
one small flame can hold those frost bit fingers over
and can ease away the cold.

The seasons change
and chills are not to go unnoticed
but
the summer tides are breaking in my heart
and sunshine always makes its way.
