days, hours, minutes, seconds... by Melinda Sordinodays measured by the pills in my dispenser,
hours by the programs on TV and
minutes by a hand that loudly clicks
each reminding me you're gone.
these are the ways
i've passed the days
since you left me alone.
days measured on calender pages,
hours measured by bottles on the floor and
seconds by each throb in my heart
each reminding me you're gone.
and i do not know
how to be alone
and how to pass the time.
time passes through me
the same way sand slides
through the hour glass,
each minute without you is eternity,
i swear i will change, just come back to me,
cause otherwise this is how i am condemned to live... 04/28/2004 Posted on 04/28/2004 Copyright © 2025 Melinda Sordino
