felicity - revised

by Ginette T Belle

should stay in my room
chinese lantern glow
not choking for air
because...never mind
this is too brutal a ride to express
in meaningless words
so i'm going to channel it...
down some other river

Hmmm...I'm wondering as to why Mike feels this is about smell associations...personally I'm dying to know what it is that once stifled the flame of the chinese lantern....very intruiging write Ginette!

Well, you expressed the brutal ride without expressing the brutal ride. The glowing chinese lantern isn't choking for air since you have resolved to 'channel it down some other river'.The only course for a meaningful LIVING. Rather LIVING.

This is a blissful poem in the sense of finding ones comfort zone without the confines of mindfulness. I detect a certain acumen of surrender in the underpinnings of this fine piece. Good stuff, Ginette. Pe4ce...

i see this as finding another vent for your feelings... well conveyed in a short perfect piece with nice images to boot... blessings...
