caged

by Kate Swearingen

words flooding my head
streaming out—i should be free
but they are steel and
i am caged.

If this IS about writer's block, it's certainly the worse of two types: One, you struggle to create the words; type two, the ideas, the words flow out in a river of tangents, confusing and jumbling the main point. When this flood of words become steel, they indeed are less than maleable to work with. I'm glad you got me thinking about this.
