the home of speaking

by Gabrielle L Gervais

I write only for you
in words that are never inked-
visible only in the air between
my lips and yours

words that run ringlets around my wrists
and slide smoothly along the sheets
sheets whose touch barely shadows the
blushing trail left by your fingers on my skin.

I write only for you
words that coerce my lips into songs
heard only in the space between
my lips and yours

words that dance around our space
with questions that lead to
a love for the curiosity and not
a searching for the answers.

I write only for you
words that exist
in the lack of space between
your lips and mine.

I want nothing more than for your
fingers to memorize my face and
forget by tomorrow so i can feel
your words memorize me again.

A real touching, heartfelt piece that taps deeply into the soul. Has a powerful yet sweetly stated emotion which impacts tremendously. Marvelous!

'I write only for you words that coerce my lips into songs heard only in the space between my lips and yours'Well, the impression seems too strong and this beautiful piece does carry those impression in all its intensity. I can feel it.
