When I think of why I love you
I can't manage to get a grasp of it
there is the obvious answers,
you're hot,
you're a good kisser.
there are the sentimental answers
you're sweet
you're funny
you're kind
you're generous.
there are the realistic answers
you make me laugh
you make me forget the bad things
you let me be me
you make me want to be better
you are amazing
you are my best friend.
there are the secret reasons
you know what I mean.
then there is a whole collection of reasons
that I cannot describe
or explain
or justify
or understand.
and it is these reasons I put the most faith in,
I didn't produce them of my own desire
you didn't produce them as a means of keeping me
they just are there
and being untouchable
I know that if all else fades
those reasons will still be there
this is how I know I can say with honesty
I will always love you.
