magnolia {fragment}

by Betania Tesch

you are the
magnolia petal
whose skin I am
breaking
and juicing
in my mouth
so subtly
alive
as I
grind you
to death
and
oblivion
all
so that I might
steal the
bittersweetness
the soapy tang
of your
life's liquid
and make it my own
all so that
I might
blossom as you.

yes, nice twist to what I thought was going to be a poem about a pretty flower. Munch, munch.
