Friday 33, AD

by Thomas K. Hunt

Two thousand and more years ago
He climbed his last hill
Stumbling with each ailing step
Suffering to fulfill his fathers will

Bearing the weight of his cross
His body scourged with pain
Taunted by the multitudes
That misunderstood his reign

Only for our salvation
Was this life that he gave
For all in every nation
Only through him we are saved

Ah yes...but His reign won't be forever misunderstood...for we know that to Jesus every knee will bow and every tounge confess to God! Romans 14:11 Touching and timely poem you have written.
