Exodus Boulevard and Park by D. Xavier BariFlares of spiral-light
cry out through expanses
blossoming conceits,
the luminous threads
of bourgeoise sprawl
in full frontal bloom.
By doubly-mortgaged souls,
asphalt veins strain
against the waves
of reaching ambitions
fleeing urban yesterdays.
I TOUCH THE FUTURE
the words spoke unto no one
as they framed the vanity,
speeding toward homedesigner
pseudo-affluent reality.
Bold words with humble roots
in a much different context,
still powerful yet awkward
plastered to a six-figure SUV
but in a sense oh so true. 04/03/2004 Posted on 04/03/2004 Copyright © 2025 D. Xavier Bari
