Stars & Dreams by J. P. DaviesBelieve in a wind, which can carry
you onward, past steeples,
and birds taking wing.
Just dream of a sunset, with diamonds
all glittering, reflections
on waves in the spring.
Find time for a lover, who swoons
in your arms, and smiles
forever they bring.
It's possible to say, "Goodbye",
but only mean "Hello".
When your wishes turn to stars
and dreams, if it changes
then how will you know?
Believe in a future, that's hidden
for now, in the shades
of narrow evening.
Bring it out loud, find your voice,
the message, it's there
whenever you sing.
Have some patience, keep waitng
the message, still there
while you're lingering
It's possible to say, "Goodbye",
but only mean "Hello".
When your wishes turn to stars
and dreams, if it changes
then how will you know?

Posted by Maureen Glaude on 04/02/04 at 12:41 PM very encouraging and positive, I must say. A breath of spring air to me! I understand this completely, thanks. It would make a terrific song, I think. |
