it's a shame you had to go and
all because we couldn't learn to
love you hard enough and he says,
it's been a long day
but this could never explain
everything and i thought you were
happy because i once saw you
smiling and i thought you had yourself
together because i once saw you Not
running away, maybe we overlooked
some things but not everything, just
the things that apparently mattered the
most in the end when you left without
saying a word or when you left having
already explained everything to us and we,
stone-faced and quiet,
not listening after all.
