Majesty by Karl Waldbauer
It was business as usual
in a Beverly Hills office.
I looked out a window
to collect scattered thoughts.
Off in the distance
through air crystal clear,
hills full of mansions
gleamed in the light.
The Hollywood sign
drew my eye eastward,
thatÂ’s when I saw
the Lord of L.A.
Far in the distance
standing alone
a snow covered mountain
proclaimed itself King.
My breath became silent,
my heart pounded loudly,
a true regal presence
is a gift very rare.
IÂ’m merely a mortal,
a common man, really,
but at that magic moment
majesty reached out to me.

Something most take for granted and forget to notice. Really lovely read:) |
