March

by Leonard M Hawkes

Were I to pray
For the World,
I would pray
For March.

Winter ends
In March.
And though He
Lashes out
With savage storms,
Chills and stills
With icy wind,
Pelts or buries
With snow--
Winter ends
In March:

Faith is evident,
Storms cease,
Cold ends;
Brightness conquers
Bitterness,
Frost, and snow;
With active trust
We leave frigid
Reality, and move
Toward certain
Light.

I love March. Everything seems so hopeful in spring! Just love that feeling...and it's easy to pick up from your poem!
