The Circular File by Allan HaslindsThis is something I've been threatening to do for a while now, which is to put my "Circular File" up. It is just a file of all the ideas and bits of linguistic flotsam and jetsam that I like and hope to incorporate into my poetry at some point. Most of this stuff is from stuff I hear in everyday life, but some of it came from the poetic editing process, when I had to delete a line I liked because it didn't work in place. Obviously, this library entry will be changing a lot. IM me or post a comment if you have something to add or a strong opinion on an item.
Please, almost all of this stuff can be considered up for grabs to other poets, but occasionally I'll mark something in red, which is my way of saying "hands off, this is mine!" If you do use something, please let me know.
(Perhaps we need a central circular file on PPS, that you can spend or earn karma points taking from or adding to?)
